Mr. Wilson's Fall Break Getaway
Mr. Wilson and his family had a wonderful Fall Break. We
went to Caprock Canyon State Park near Quitaque, TX in the Texas
Panhandle. The following pictures are just some of the amazing sites we
saw while there.

These 5 photos are of the Caprock Rock Canyon rim. Incredible beauty and color.
Caprock Canyon State Park is home to the official Texas State
Bison Herd, which is "the largest herd of buffalo
in the state park system." Although we didn't see any of this great
herd, they have some incredible iron
buffalos setup throughout the park. From a distance they look real!
Below are 8 pictures of different reptiles, insects and
animals we saw while there for just 2 days! Every night
there were several coyote packs that would howl at one another from one side of
the canyon to the other.
Lake Theo is where we fished and caught our fish while
there. Don't worry, we put them back once the
photos were taken.
This was a campsite. We took our 9 man tent and had a
great time. At night the temperature was in the 50's while during
the day we were in the mid to upper 70's. What great weather! These
were some of the best campsites I've seen in
a state park.
Lastly, I wanted to share with you a photo of the abundent
cactus that was in the area. The photo on the left is just one
bunch that surrounded our site. The last photo shows the sunrise we woke
up to.
